American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for an inpatient neurodiagnostics role requiring BLS certification and either graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited EEG program or 2+ years of EEG/EMU hands-on experience.

Details

• Inpatient EEG unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Multiple day shift options available: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 12:30 PM–8:00 PM, or 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited EEG program (new graduates welcome) OR 2+ years of hands-on EEG/EMU experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ABRET certification preferred but not required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills required
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to change
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Performs all types of EEGs including ambulatory, bedside, electrical cerebral silence, and standard lab EEGs
• Notifies neuroscience physicians as needed for grossly abnormal EEG tracings
• Responsible for accurate documentation in patient charts and lab files
• Cleans, disinfects, and troubleshoots neurodiagnostic equipment per facility policy
• Explains procedures to patients across all age groups to ensure optimal test results
• Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Interviews are conducted by facility leadership
