Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a critical access hospital OR position, with first-time travelers welcome and Epic EMR experience required.

Details

• Critical access hospital with 23 staffed beds
• Primary assignment in the main OR with service lines including total joints, GYN, urology, general surgery, sports medicine, and endoscopy
• Float coverage required between the main OR, endoscopy suite, and C-section suite
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call required approximately 2 days per week; on-call coverage spans Monday–Thursday nights and Friday–Sunday 6:30 AM–6:30 AM (next day)
• Weekend call rotation required (Friday 6:30 AM through Monday 6:30 AM)
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CST experience
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Active professional license if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• OR-provided scrubs for the OR and L&D; any color scrubs permitted in all other areas
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO is expected to be minimal; any time-off requests must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
• No parking fee
