American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-week acute care assignment, performing MSK, neuro, and body imaging on Philips and Siemens equipment with required call rotation.

Details

• Acute care hospital MRI department serving both inpatient and outpatient populations in clinic and hospital settings
• Single-modality position — not expected to cover CT or X-Ray duties
• 1–2 MRI scanners per location
• Average of 10 scans per day including MSK, neuro, and body studies
• Philips and Siemens MRI equipment in use; experience required on at least one, training available on the other
• 1.5T MRI equipment used
• In-house radiologist available at hospital locations
• EMR: MEDHOST and Meditech; PACS: Synapse
• Day shift, Monday–Friday with a 7:30 AM start, 8-hour shifts
• Rotational on-call requirement: one week per month (5:00 PM–6:00 AM M–F, 24 hours Saturday and Sunday)
• Holiday coverage on a rotational on-call basis
• May float between two campus locations approximately 16 minutes apart

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) required — license required if applicable
• Experience with Philips or Siemens MRI equipment required
• Experience with 1.5T MRI equipment required
• Experience with implanted devices required
• Must be able to perform IV starts and creatinine draws
• Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Two professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform MSK, neuro, and body MRI scans for inpatient and outpatient populations, including IV placement and creatinine draws
• Non-supervisory, non-lead MRI Tech role working within a radiology team that includes an in-house radiologist
• May be asked to precept on an as-needed basis
• 12-hour orientation period
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Attendance reliability is critical; call-outs are strongly discouraged
