Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Medical Dosimetrist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in Eclipse and Aria for a 13-week Radiation Oncology contract at an acute care, Level I Trauma facility.

Details

• Acute care hospital Radiation Oncology (Dosimetry) department
• External beam treatment planning only, including 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, and SBRT
• Department currently treats approximately 60 patients
• Equipment includes Varian TrueBeam and Edge linear accelerators
• Uses Eclipse for treatment planning and Aria as the Record & Verify system
• Additional software includes Epic (hospital EMR), PACS, MIM, and Radformation
• Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• On-call requirement with a 1-hour response time
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active state license where applicable — license must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted (license required if applicable)
• Active CMD (Certified Medical Dosimetrist) certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of dosimetry experience required
• Proficiency with Eclipse and Aria required
• Driver's license required for consideration and used to verify compliance with the 50-mile radius requirement
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include external beam treatment planning and presenting completed plans to Radiation Oncologists
• This position is an addition to existing core dosimetry staff
• On-site orientation provided by the department manager
• Gray scrubs or business casual attire required
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result to contract termination
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; driver's license is used to verify permanent address
• Candidates who are currently or have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
