American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an OR position at a hospital in Bozeman, MT, requiring BLS certification and graduation from an accredited surgical tech program.

• Hospital OR setting supporting both scheduled and non-scheduled surgical cases
• Variable shift schedule at 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, or equivalent military surgical technologist program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Functions in the scrub person role under the supervision of the surgeon and RN to maintain a safe OR environment and maximize patient safety
• Responsible for completing case carts according to preference cards and procuring the appropriate instruments and supplies
• Coordinates instrumentation with OR staff and sterile processing throughout the day for both scheduled and non-scheduled cases
• Reviews the daily surgical schedule with the charge nurse and sterile processing day coordinator to identify potential turnover delays or scheduling issues
• Serves as a resource for Sterile Processing and Surgical Services departments regarding supply and instrumentation procurement
• Communicates with materials management regarding supply utilization and deployment
• Manages core phone communications and coordinates breaks and lunches for the team
