American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with an active Ohio license and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 6-week day-shift contract in a hospital Radiation Oncology department.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
• Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm schedule
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• TrueBeam linear accelerator and Aria EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Ohio Department of Health Radiation Therapist license required if applicable
• ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience required
• Associate's degree in radiography with radiation therapy certification required; Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy preferred
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program required
• Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently

Additional Information

• Deliver prescribed courses of radiation therapy using radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established standards
• Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and monitor patients for reactions during treatment
• Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and patient identification to ensure treatment accuracy
• Position patients and prepare room and equipment for treatment, including care for patients with catheters, IVs, and other life support devices
• Perform verification and port film exposures and implement physician-directed corrections to therapy
• Collaborate with physicists, physicians, nurses, dieticians, and social workers as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Prepare and maintain electronic and written documentation including treatment plans and progress reports
