American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist with Level 1 Trauma experience and ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated academic medical center in Charleston, SC.

Details

• Work in a CT Scan department within an 865-bed Magnet, teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Daily caseload varies by shift and location
• 3x12-hour day shifts, Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM, with holiday rotation
• Siemens CT scanner equipment in use, including the Siemens Force Scanner
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Floating within clinical scope to meet facility needs is required, including to sister facilities
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year of CT experience preferred
• Active BLS (AHA only), ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA(R)(CT) certifications required
• Siemens CT scanner experience required
• SC license required if applicable — pending licenses are not accepted and must be active at time of start
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles are considered on a case-by-case basis
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Experience with basic biopsies and drains preferred
• Siemens Force Scanner experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted provided they have relevant prior experience
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs are required
• A radiation badge must be provided by the agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• Parking passes are available for a one-time $20 fee, applicable to nights and weekends only
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
