American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital sleep study unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and NATUS proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital sleep study unit with 4 beds
• Patient population includes pulmonary patients with diagnoses such as OSA, CSA, OHS, COPD, oxygen dependency, cardiology conditions, and REM behavior disorder
• Patient ratios are 2:1, with 1:1 available based on patient needs
• Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and ASV
• Charting is performed in Epic
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekends scheduled as needed; no holiday or call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of polysomnography experience
• RPSGT via BRPT required; RRT with SDS or CRT with SDS via NBRC accepted in lieu
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with NATUS (including NATUS SleepWorks) and sleep study scoring required
• Experience with MPR home units preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of a full-day hospital education session, one online education module, and an HR badge appointment; no formal lab orientation, but a meet-and-greet walkthrough with the manager will be arranged
• Schedule is not self-scheduled, though some flexibility with days may be accommodated
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered; cumulative time at WVU Medicine locations cannot exceed one year without a subsequent 2-year break
• Two supervisor and peer references required, including a supervisor reference from any permanent position held in the last 12 months
• A current skills checklist (within the past year), copies of certifications, and a driver's license are required for consideration
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2 years of relevant experience is required
