American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 4x10 day shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Alaska.

Details

• Work in a cardiac cath lab at a 407-bed Magnet facility and Level II Trauma Center recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
• Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, structural heart (PFO, TAVR, MitraClip), CRM device implants, and neurointervention
• IR procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
• Charting is performed in Epic; experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Some Saturdays are required as part of the regular 4-shift weekly schedule, not as additional shifts
• On-call required 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
• May float to IR and EP within clinical scope to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• EP, IR, vascular, and neuro intervention experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT (R) or RCIS
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring required
• Proficiency in cardiac catheterization, structural heart interventions, and IR procedures
• Preferred skills include CTO, peripherals, venous access, rhythm interpretation, and experience with atherectomy and thrombectomy devices
• Familiarity with Philips X-Ray System, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP preferred
• Temporary LVAD support experience preferred
• A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Parking is free
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Only 1 RTO request is permitted per 13-week assignment, approved on an individual basis upon offer
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
