American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a diagnostic radiology position requiring at least 1 year of hospital experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a diagnostic radiology department
• Performs a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures
• Responsible for ensuring completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS
• Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, with a weekend call rotation
• Flexibility to work other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of hospital radiology experience
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
• ARRT (R) certification required
• Texas MRT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS required (AHA only)
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support other imaging technologists to facilitate efficient patient flow
• Serve as a PACS Superuser, including following downtime procedures and escalating issues to the PACS administrator as needed
• Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and report malfunctions to the Director/Manager and Biomedical personnel
• Participate in QA, ongoing education, and technical advancement within the scope of licensure
• Adapt patient care approaches to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs
