American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with ophthalmology experience for a hospital OR position at a Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Details

• Hospital OR/Surgery Center setting at a 636-bed Level III Trauma Center with Magnet Designation
• Ophthalmology-focused unit performing cataract and retinal procedures, with additional case types including orthopedic (carpal tunnel), general surgery, and breast/plastics
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM
• Schedule of 4–5 eight-hour shifts per week based on unit need
• On-call requirement of 1 weekend every 5 weeks and 4 weeknights every 5 weeks, with a 30-minute response time
• One holiday on-call required per contract
• No floating required
• Epic EMR used at this facility
• Alaris and Pyxis medication/infusion systems in use

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience, with at least 12 months of core experience in the specialty area and most recent experience within the last year
• Ophthalmology experience required, including cataract and retinal procedures
• BLS certification required
• Active license required, if applicable
• Epic EMR experience
• One professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN collected within the last year required for consideration
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
