American Traveler is hiring a Mammography/Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Edwards, CO, performing breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and breast ultrasound.

• Breast imaging center setting specializing in mammography and ultrasound services
• Modalities include mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and breast ultrasound biopsy assistance
• Patient population includes adolescents through geriatric (ages 13+)
• 4x10 hour day shifts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography and/or ultrasound
• ARRT with Mammography (M) certification required
• BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
• Working knowledge of MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging
• Ability to work with adolescent through geriatric patient populations

Additional Information

• Perform mammography, stereotactic breast biopsies, breast ultrasound, and assist with breast ultrasound biopsies in accordance with MQSA and ACR guidelines
• Responsible for reviewing patient requisitions, performing quality control checks, and ensuring technical accuracy of completed examinations
• Educates and communicates with patients before, during, and after procedures to support continuity of breast health care
• Assists with department workflow management, scheduling of breast imaging appointments, and medical supply inventory
• Participates in orientation of new employees and promotes breast health education through organizational events
• Must maintain 24 CEU credits per ARRT guidelines every two years and keep CPR certification current
• May perform radiographic examinations per facility protocol
