Description

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with Level I Trauma and Neurosurgery experience for a hospital OR position in Ohio requiring at least 3 years of experience and call availability.

Details

• Hospital OR setting at an academic medical center
• Variable shift position with availability for 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
• Weeknight call required Monday through Friday from 2100–0630
• Weekend shifts of 12 hours from 1900–0630 with call; holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
• Case mix includes Neurosurgery, Spine, Complex Ortho/Ortho Spine, and Complex General Surgery including Bariatric procedures
• Preferred case experience includes ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of OR Surgical Tech experience required
• Level I Trauma center experience required
• Neurosurgery experience required
• Spine experience required
• Complex Ortho/Ortho Spine experience required
• Complex General Surgery including Bariatric experience required
• BLS certification required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Scrub into a high-acuity, complex surgical caseload across multiple specialties
• Support neurosurgical, spine, orthopedic, and general surgery procedures
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility are not required to take a 30-day break between assignments before changing representation (exception: Sterile Processing Techs must still observe a 30-day break)
