American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech with open heart experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital CVOR unit in Arizona.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit
• Facility has 6 ORs (including 1 dedicated CVOR suite) and 1 hybrid room
• Common cases include CABG, aortic valve, mitral valve, and TAVR procedures, with 1–2 CV cases or up to 4 TAVR cases per day
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• On-call required up to 50% of the time from end of shift through the next morning, with a 30-minute call response time required
• On-call required up to 50% of weekends
• Scrub tech responsibilities are required for this role
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required
• Minimum 1 year of open heart experience required
• BLS certification required; must be active at time of consideration (pending not accepted)
• A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (AZ requirement); driver's license is used to verify permanent address

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• A charge nurse and specialty leads are available as on-unit resources; a house supervisor is on-site from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM only
• Orientation is 12 hours
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
