American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification and strong trauma and angiogram experience for a night shift contract at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL.

Details

• 492-bed Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center
• Radiology department with rotation across different areas within the department
• Inpatient and outpatient adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients from the ED and outpatient settings
• Patient ratio of 1:1, averaging approximately 4 patients per hour (40 patients per day)
• Procedures include CT biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies
• All GE CT equipment; EMR is Cerner
• 12-hour night shifts, 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM, Thursday through Saturday (36 hours/week)
• Weekend rotation varies, typically once per month, subject to change based on departmental needs
• On-call is voluntary
• May float throughout the hospital as needed

Requirements

• Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
• ARRT-CT (CT specialty) certification required
• AL state license preferred; license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience considered for strong candidates; first-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
• Proficiency in CT biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, and angiograms required
• Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Experience with GE CT equipment preferred

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of one 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2–3 shifts on the unit with a day shift technologist
• Holiday coverage expectations follow hospital policy; candidates should expect to work one major and one minor seasonal holiday
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Free parking is available on site
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
• A reference from a charge-level supervisor or above from the past 12 months is required for consideration, along with copies of certifications and DOB (day and month)
