American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with experience in both vascular ultrasound and echocardiography for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level IV Trauma Center.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 49 staffed beds, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center
• Echo/Cardiac Sonographer unit performing echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies
• Procedures include adult echo, contrast echo, stress echocardiogram (treadmill), and vascular ultrasound studies
• Patient ratio of 8:1
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call required Monday–Friday from 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM, and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday
• Weekends required on an on-call basis
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• EMR: Epic (required)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
• Proficiency in both vascular ultrasound and echocardiography is required — no training will be provided in these areas
• Experience required in adult echo, contrast echo, and stress echocardiogram (treadmill)
• Experience in general ultrasound and vascular ultrasound studies required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current relevant certifications required; license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is expected; requests should be addressed prior to or at the time of submission, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; RRTs may wear any color; OR attire is provided (wear street clothes to the facility)
