American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position in Dayton, OH, requiring at least 2 years of Neuro ICU or comprehensive stroke center experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Neuro ICU in a large hospital setting and designated comprehensive stroke center
• Treats neurological diseases and disorders including seizures and strokes, as well as overflow patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion, within a specialty cluster, and will receive a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the floated unit
• Floating may include assignments across three campuses: Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville, less than 10 miles away), and North Campus (Englewood, less than 15 miles away)
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license required before contract start (not required at time of application)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips required
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital with some neuro experience required
• Minimum 2 years of total RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to patients with neurological conditions including seizures and strokes, as well as overflow ICU patients
• All RTO must be submitted at the time of initial application — no RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is made, and approval is at the manager's discretion
• 13-week contract
