American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week assignment in an outpatient/hospital ultrasound setting.

Details

• Outpatient and hospital-based ultrasound department at a large academic medical system
• Performs abdominal, OB/GYN, pediatric, basic vascular, and small parts ultrasound studies
• May perform interventional ultrasound procedures
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotation within the department, divisions, and off-site clinics as needed
• Epic used for charting
• UKG/Kronos used for timekeeping

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time clinical ultrasound experience
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Ultrasound Program
• ARDMS certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location)
• Active MA license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing ultrasound examinations, obtaining patient history, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring proper patient identification
• Maintains and operates ultrasound equipment, executing PACS, RIS, and reporting functions for each exam
• Collaborates with departmental and hospital staff and transports patients per established departmental guidelines
• Stays current on imaging techniques, procedures, and equipment through continuing education
• Parking is not validated; public parking is available at candidate's expense
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but will receive a reduced pay rate
