American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in New Mexico, requiring a minimum of 2 years of large OR experience and at least one prior completed travel assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• 12-hour evening shifts, 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
• 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Ability to scrub is required
• Epic EMR used; on-site training available for those without prior Epic experience
• Orthopedic, EENT, and/or vascular experience is a plus
• Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• BLS required; must be completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• ACLS and PALS preferred; if obtained, must also be through an approved provider
• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a large OR
• Must be able to scrub
• Must have successfully completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care
• Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
• Responsible for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Former permanent staff of this health system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
