American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Cardiac Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and an NC or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Position is located in a Stepdown Cardiac unit within a large academic teaching hospital setting
• Rotating day and night shifts on a blocked 8-week schedule: Days 7:00–19:30 and Nights 19:00–7:30 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 4 Monday or Friday shifts required based on unit needs
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating may be required to PCU, Stepdown, and IMCU units
• Charting is performed in Epic (required)
• Clinical skills include cardiac telemetry monitoring, pre/post cardiac surgery care, TAVR, heart transplant care, and pacemaker management (temporary and permanent)
• Additional clinical skills include central line care, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, insulin drip titration, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management (no titration), chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
