Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry position, caring for a diverse acutely ill adult patient population with a minimum of 1 year of experience required.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• 13-week contract
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry setting within an independent community hospital
• Adult patient population with a wide variety of acute medical conditions, including cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, and pulmonary cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Self-scheduling unit
• Every other weekend requirement

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordination of direct patient care and patient education
• Day 1 of orientation is spent at Employee Health for a facility health screening; floor orientation begins on Day 2
• Holiday coverage policy: if one holiday falls within the assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two
