American Traveler is seeking a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist for a Sleep Lab position requiring 1+ year of sleep lab experience and RPSGT or RST certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Sleep Lab setting
• 4x10 hour variable shifts per week, 40 hours per week
• Rotational on-call requirement
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies across all patient age populations
• Procedures include polysomnography, MSLT, MWT, oximetry, actigraphy, and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT)
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of sleep lab experience
• Associate's Degree in Polysomnographic Technology or completion of a Certificate program in Polysomnographic Technology
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• One or more of the following certifications required: RPSGT (BRPT) or RST (ABSM)
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required, if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Scores sleep/wake stages and clinical events including respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, and arousals using professionally accepted guidelines
• Performs PAP interface fitting, desensitization, and patient education
• Conducts physiologic and equipment calibrations and monitors data quality throughout testing
• Follows MSLT and MWT procedural protocols
• Performs ancillary testing including oximetry, actigraphy, and HSAT
• Participates in training and oversight of Polysomnographic Trainees and Technicians
• Supports quality and performance improvement initiatives
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 continuous year must either convert to permanent staff or take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the health system
