Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience with cardiac and telemetry skills.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting with 15 beds serving a birth-to-geriatric patient population
• Emergency Department with float responsibility to Med/Surg as needed
• Patient population includes COPD, diabetes, CHF, cardiac, and trauma cases
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• 12-hour night shifts
• Telemetry equipment used
• Cardiac and diabetic drips administered by nursing staff
• No in-house pharmacy — RNs are required to mix their own medications
• EMR: Cerner
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient RN experience required
• ED or relevant acute care experience required
• Experience with cardiac and diabetic drips required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Two supervisory/managerial references preferred for consideration

Additional Information

• Manager interview required prior to offer
• Position requires floating to Med/Surg in addition to primary ED assignment
• RNs are responsible for medication preparation due to the absence of an in-house pharmacy
