American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position at a Joint Commission accredited, Level III Trauma community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Details

• Work setting is a 16-bed blended ICU/CVICU within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Joint Commission accredited, Level III Trauma facility and Certified Chest Pain Center
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Common diagnoses and procedures include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A-Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
• Equipment includes Baxter pumps
• EMR is Medhost
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required to the Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and ED holding for admitted patients, on an as-needed basis
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
• Travelers are permitted one call-out per contract; a second call-out requires documentation and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Orientation is conducted on a weekly basis
• Lake Havasu City offers outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking, plus local dining and scenic lake and mountain views
• Conveniently located within driving distance of Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), the Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
