American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hospital at Home position requiring a VA or compact license and a BSN, delivering acute-level inpatient care within patients' home environments.

Details

• Home Health setting delivering acute-level inpatient care within patients' home environments
• Rotating 12-hour shifts covering 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• 3x12-hour shift schedule per week
• Individualized plans of care guide tasks and duties for each patient home visit
• Leverages technology and remote clinical care coordination to deliver care

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BSN required — must have graduated from an accredited school (ACEN or CCNE accreditation accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of critical care, acute care, or med/surg RN experience
• Minimum 12 months of experience in a home health or applicable RN role
• Must not have been employed by VCU Health within the previous 6 months
• 2 professional references from supervisor level or above required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care at the acute inpatient level within the patient's home, implementing the full nursing process through a team nursing model
• Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to deliver therapeutic interventions while maintaining high quality and safety standards
• Responsible for documenting patient care and contributing to individualized care plans
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate
• Drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace — smoking is not permitted on campus
• Natural nail policy is enforced
• Travelers are not guaranteed holidays off; any time-off requests should be submitted upfront
