American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience and AHA-issued certifications.

Details

• Night shift position on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (MED/SURG A5) within a 167-bed acute care hospital
• Shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
• Patient population spans all age groups
• Omnicell used for medication dispensing
• Meditech EHR — experience required
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekend coverage as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating to similar Med/Surg units possible as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact license currently in hand)
• Current AHA-issued certifications required: BLS, ACLS, HWC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• IV insertion skills required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

• Level III Trauma Center
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
