American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Medical/Surgical Orthopedics unit (Floor A6) in a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center
• Specialties include orthopedics, post-operative care, and med/surg
• Patient population includes adults and pediatric patients 13 and older, with a geriatric focus
• Patient ratios of 4–6:1 on a 23-bed unit
• Common diagnoses and treatments include post-op joints, post-op bariatric, post-op GI, and trauma
• EMR: Meditech
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend
• Floating required as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license required)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• ASN degree minimum
• Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Strong teamwork, customer service, and assessment skills
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• All required certifications must be in hand prior to assignment start
• AHA-issued certifications are required (non-AHA equivalents not accepted)
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; t-shirts must display the hospital logo; acrylic nails are not permitted
