American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract in Las Cruces, NM, requiring active NM or Compact licensure and a minimum of 3 years of ED experience.

Details

• Level IV Trauma Center Emergency Department in a 199-bed hospital
• 20-bed ED unit serving all age groups (pediatric through geriatric)
• High acuity emergency cases including chest pain and stroke patients (Joint Commission-accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Certified Primary Stroke Center)
• Patient ratios: ESI 1, 2, and Horizontal 3s – 4:1 | ESI Vertical 3s, 4, and 5 – 7:1
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• EMR: MedHost
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale – all must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 3 years of emergency department experience required
• ED, critical care, or trauma background preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• All clinical staff on assignment in New Mexico must be fingerprinted before hire; travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while awaiting results but must be supervised during that time
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; facility-branded clothing from other organizations and casual wear are not permitted
