American Traveler is seeking a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist with 5+ years of experience and RPSGT certification for a 13-week night shift contract in an acute care sleep lab setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital sleep lab setting
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Allscripts EMR used in this position
• Uses Alice 5 and/or Alice 6 polysomnography equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sleep Technologist required
• Current BLS and RPSGT (or RCP) required
• Proficiency with Alice 5 and/or Alice 6 polysomnography systems
• Experience with PAP titration, electrode/sensor application, and data acquisition
• Familiarity with AASM scoring rules
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include reviewing patient histories and medications, applying electrodes and sensors, performing calibrations, monitoring and documenting sleep stages and clinical events, and completing PAP titrations per protocol
• Scoring of patient acquisitions using the latest AASM rules and preparation of draft reports for Medical Director interpretation
• Advanced responsibilities may include pediatric sleep studies with ETCO2 hookup and scoring, as well as coordinating with CPAP equipment providers
• Orientation is 8 hours
• 8-hour orientation provided prior to independent practice
