American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care critical access hospital, requiring CT and x-ray experience along with active ARRT and BLS certifications.

Details

• Acute care critical access hospital setting covering ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, and OR areas
• Designated stroke center performing a high volume of CTAs, as well as trauma imaging due to proximity to a major highway
• Orthopedic imaging and joint procedures performed in partnership with a nearby orthopedic clinic
• Imaging performed on Siemens 128-slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio X-ray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC C-arm, and Hologic Mini-C
• EMR: Epic | PACS: McKesson
• Shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on need; typical shift range 9:30 AM–8:00 PM with various other shift options including overnight
• Weekends required approximately every third or fourth weekend
• Holiday coverage required based on scheduling need
• On-call requirements vary based on staffing levels; overnight call may be required when short-staffed
• Floating to assist with radiology injections and biopsies may be required, with training provided

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT and x-ray experience required; solid CT experience is prioritized
• Active ARRT(R) required; ARRT-CT specialty certification preferred
• Active BLS required
• C-arm experience preferred, as emergent surgical cases may require its use
• Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
• License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year (candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered)
• Two professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs various x-rays and CT studies including CTAs, trauma imaging, and orthopedic/joint imaging and procedures
• May assist with radiology injections and biopsies when floating, with department-specific training provided
• Radiology director is available on-site Monday–Friday and reachable after hours for emergent situations; one Radiology RN is also on staff Monday–Friday
• Orientation is typically one week in duration
• The department can be busy and demanding due to an active ER and clinic; strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are highly valued
• All RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after consideration
• Must complete MN NetStudy background check — an account must be registered prior to consideration for this role
