American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Step-Down position at a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital, requiring at least 2 years of telemetry experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Telemetry/Step-Down unit within a large, short-term acute care hospital (1,266 staffed beds)
• Cardiac patient population requiring telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac drips
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Performs EKGs and manages cardiac drips
• Charts using Epic (experience required)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry/step-down RN experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may work up to 18 months before being required to take a 3-month break in service
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Monthly parking passes are available at various on-site locations for day/rotation shift workers; night shift workers park at no charge in employee parking
