American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a 733-bed short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand; pending licenses are not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
• Scrub colors are royal blue and white
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (estimated 4–10 hours)
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
• Only one holiday approval can be accommodated per contract
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months
