Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical-Surgical ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience preferred, working nights in a 16-bed unit.

Details

• Medical-Surgical ICU setting in a hospital environment
• 16-bed ICU unit
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS and PALS
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
