American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with broad OR scrubbing experience and an active WA state license for a Level III Trauma Center position.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 104 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center
• Surgical services department covering ortho (total joints/trauma), general, neuro, vascular, ENT, OB/GYN (including C-sections), and plastics
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, with flexible hours of either 11:00–19:30 or 07:00–15:30 depending on operational need
• On-call required: one weeknight per week and one weekend every six weeks
• Weekend requirement is on-call only
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within Washington State — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Washington State license required (license required if applicable)
• NBSTSA CST certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of CST/OR scrub experience
• Proficiency in scrubbing ortho (total joints/trauma), general, neuro, vascular, ENT, OB/GYN including C-sections, and plastics
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be able to respond within a 20-minute callback window while on call
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Robotics experience (DaVinci) is preferred but not required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is expected; requests should be disclosed upfront, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Any scrub color is acceptable across all units
• No parking fee at this facility
