American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring ABRET/R.EEG T certification and at least 18 months of experience across a broad range of neurodiagnostic case types.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within an EEG unit
• Case types include Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), stereo EEG (sEEG), neurotelemetry, Ictal SPECT, routine EEG, trauma, and critical care
• Rotating day and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule — days run 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, nights run 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• May be asked to float between a main campus and an affiliated pediatric hospital, and must be comfortable with all patient populations including pediatrics
• Charting in Cerner (required)
• No weekend requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of EEG technologist experience
• ABRET and R.EEG T certifications required
• Current BLS required (AHA and RQI accepted)
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Proficiency with collodion/glue EEG hook-up required
• License required if applicable — Indiana or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Must be comfortable working with all patient populations, including pediatrics

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply if all other requirements are met
• Local candidates are accepted for this Allied position
• Clinicians should expect to work 5x8-hour day shifts during the first one to two weeks for training purposes
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 1 pre-approved time-off period per contract; up to 5 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Former permanent or PRN employees of this facility must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Graduation from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE is required
