American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring active CA RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a 277-bed acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 7pm–7am, with 4x12 or 3x12 schedule available upon request
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Floating between like units and all facilities within the state is required
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery and postpartum nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided for L&D staff
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
