American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of acute care experience for a high-volume, accredited echo lab at a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Work in a high-volume, IACE-accredited echo lab within a Level II Trauma Center (571 total beds across both campuses)
• Lab performs a combination of inpatient and outpatient exams, including TTE, SE, DSE, and TEE
• All inpatient exams are performed at the bedside
• This facility is a designated stroke center with a high volume of bubble studies
• Common pathology includes TAVR, Watchman, severe mitral regurgitation, cardiomyopathies (HOCM), and infective endocarditis
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of echo/cardiac sonography experience required
• Experience in acute care, adult outpatient, and ER settings required; pediatric experience preferred
• Experience performing bubble studies is required
• BLS required; CCI RCS and/or ARDMS RDCS certifications required — license required if applicable
• ARDMS RDCS PE and/or RDCS Peds certifications preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Exposure to working in an IACE-accredited lab preferred
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform TTE, SE, DSE, and TEE exams across inpatient and outpatient settings, with all inpatient exams conducted at the bedside
• Strong time management skills are essential given the high-volume nature of this lab
• Candidates are expected to perform to IACE accreditation standards
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Scrub color may be any color; reddish-orange is not permitted
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact candidacy
