American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and strong vascular scanning skills for a 26-week assignment in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Radiology Ultrasound department at an 815-bed acute care hospital that serves as the region's only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital
• High-volume unit performing 50% or greater vascular scans in addition to general, pediatric, ED, and OR ultrasound studies
• Procedures include general sonography, carotid studies, venous and arterial upper/lower extremity studies, vascular abdomen, renal artery, vein mapping, and AV fistulas/grafts
• Equipment includes GE Logiq E9, Logiq E10, Dophin TCD Machine, and Parks-ABI machine
• Documentation via Cerner and PACS
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Thursday through Saturday
• May be required to float to IR or ER

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
• ARDMS certification required; RVT or RVS preferred
• RVT skills strongly preferred given high vascular scan volume
• Well-rounded sonography skill set required across general, vascular, pediatric, ED, and OR exams
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Weekday staffing includes 7 day sonographers, 1 mid-shift, and 2 third-shift sonographers; weekend staffing includes 3 day, 1 mid-shift, and 2 third-shift sonographers
• Assists with invasive exams in addition to standard imaging responsibilities
• Black scrubs required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
