American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring OASIS training, IV skills, and the ability to conduct 6-8 skilled home visits per day across a Medicare and commercial insurance patient population.

Details

• Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
• Performs 6-8 skilled home visits per day
• Patient care includes cardiopulmonary assessment, basic and complex wound care (ABI compression dressing, wound vac), Pleurx/Asept drain care, foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, lab draw venipuncture, IV skills, and PICC line/Midline care and dressing changes
• High-risk diagnoses include heart failure (HF), COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke, as well as post-op and general medical cases
• Shift hours vary based on office needs: Mon–Fri 8a–5p or 9a–6p, or Thu–Mon / Fri–Tue rotating schedules
• Alternating weekend shifts required
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on the needs of the HomeCare office
• Documentation systems include BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet; equipment includes a laptop, MiFi, and portable printer

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required; private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted
• OASIS training and hands-on experience required
• Proficient IV skills and wound care experience required
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
• COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
• Flu shot or signed declination required; mask must be worn at all times while on the job if a declination is on file
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care in patients' homes, including complex wound management, IV therapy, PICC/Midline maintenance, and chronic disease monitoring
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
