American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience in general ultrasound, OB, and vascular imaging for an acute care hospital setting.

• Acute care hospital setting within a Radiology / Ultrasound department
• Level III Trauma Center
• Department has 4 ultrasound rooms
• Studies include all general ultrasound, vascular, OB (all three trimesters), and procedures; echocardiography experience is a plus but not required
• Average of 10–15 scans/studies per day depending on hours worked
• Equipment includes Toshiba ultrasound units, with two new Philips units on order
• EMR: Epic RIS; PACS: Fuji PACS
• Primary schedule is Friday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and Monday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM; open to 4x10-hour days Friday–Monday
• On-call required after 9:00 PM and on weekends; holidays covered on-call only
• No floating to other areas required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience covering general ultrasound, OB, and vascular imaging
• Active ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) or RVS certification through CCI
• Active BLS (AHA) certification
• Active state or compact (NLC) license where applicable — license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Pending certifications will not be accepted
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; a valid driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of ultrasound studies including general, vascular, OB across all three trimesters, and image-guided procedures
• Radiologist is on-site three days per week
• A radiation badge is required and will be provided by the agency
• Orientation is 12 hours; candidates must be in-state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered
• No specific scrub color requirement
