American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Case Manager in Brownsville, TX, requiring InterQual/utilization review and discharge planning experience for a 13-week assignment at an acute care hospital.

Details

• Case Management department in a 214-bed acute care hospital
• Caseload of 25–30 patients
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
• EMR systems include Meditech, Midas, and Careport; Meditech experience is preferred
• No floating required
• Standard office equipment used: computer, fax, and printer

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license with TX authorization required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN case management experience required
• InterQual and utilization review experience required
• Discharge planning experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include discharge planning and care coordination
• Royal blue scrubs required; business professional attire and a white lab coat are also acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
