American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a weekend-focused contract position at a Level IV Trauma Center in West Allis, WI.

Details

• Work in a 2-suite MRI department at a 277-bed Level IV Trauma Center designated as a Primary Stroke Center
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics with a focus on ortho, neuro, GI, and breast imaging
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Weekend program: 12-hour day shifts on Saturday and Sunday (mandatory), with an optional 8-hour day shift on Fridays (preferred but not required)
• Standard 24 hours per week
• No floating required
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes Siemens 1.5T magnet and Pyxis medication dispensing system

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Active BLS and ARRT-M certifications required
• Wisconsin MRI Tech license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience
• Proficiency in MRI-guided biopsies and breast biopsies
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
• Must not have cardiac pacemaker scanning limitations
• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Support team includes a transporter (1st and 2nd shift), Radiology Assistant, Radiologist, Lead or seasoned MRI Tech, Phlebotomy, RRT, and Hospitalists — 2 MRI Techs per shift
• One-day facility and unit orientation provided
• Holiday coverage discussed during interview; required only if needed
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
