American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac invasive experience for a Cardiac Catheterization Lab position requiring STEMI call capability and proficiency in diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting in an acute care hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Procedures include diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac interventional, and peripheral interventional procedures
• Roles include case recorder, cardiac circulator, and scrub assistant
• EMR: Epic (charting)
• 3x12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday on a varied basis with approximately 2 Fridays per month
• One 24-hour weekend call day per month
• Three weeknight call shifts (7:30 PM–7:00 AM) per month
• Holiday coverage required: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• May float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Invasive Technologist with diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral interventional procedures
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• RCIS preferred
• Must be able to respond to STEMI call
• Proficiency with catheters, wires, stents, and related supplies
• Active NJ license required if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing in for diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral cases
• Prepares patients for procedures and monitors and reports clinical changes in patient condition to the RN or physician
• May perform point-of-care testing per CLIA guidelines
• Responsible for accurate documentation including labeling studies, recording procedure information, and entering charges
• Maintains sterile technique and infection prevention standards throughout all procedures
