American Traveler is seeking an EEG Technologist with EMG credentials and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week acute care contract position.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, working in the EEG/EMG unit
• Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations undergoing peripheral and autonomic nervous system testing
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Epic EMR used in this position
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an EEG/EMG Technologist
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• EMG registry through ABEM or AAET required; R.NCS.T credential (via AAET) required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in nerve conduction studies (NCS) and autonomic studies
• Background knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the brain, spinal cord, cranial nerves, peripheral nerves, neuromuscular junction, muscles, and autonomic nerves
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) and autonomic studies, working closely with physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply will result to contract termination
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
