American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, with a schedule that includes call responsibilities and holiday coverage.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
• Primary shift is 4x10-hour days (6:30–19:00), with one additional 8-hour shift (6:30–15:00) every other week
• On-call required approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs
• Weekend coverage included as part of call requirements
• Floating required within scope of practice, including to the Main OR as needed
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience required
• All relevant certifications must be current and copies provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates undergo a clinical review process; those who pass are forwarded to the manager for final consideration
• No special scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work 2, and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
