American Traveler is hiring an EEG/Sleep Technologist for a 13-week travel contract performing EEG and evoked potential testing in a hospital sleep lab setting.

Details

• Hospital-based EEG Sleep Lab setting
• Performs EEG and evoked potential testing on patients of all ages, both in the department and at the bedside
• Uses Epic for charting
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Wednesday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an EEG technician
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited EEG or END program preferred
• ABRET (Board of Registered EEG Technologist) or CET (Certified EEG Technician) certification required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only, must not expire prior to start date)
• Active license required, if applicable
• English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) required
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Prepares patients and equipment, performs EEG and evoked potential examinations, and determines recording parameters based on each patient's diagnosis or complaint
• Analyzes data and assists in preparing results for physician review, including studying wave characteristics to detect evidence of brain disorders
• Completes documentation including checklists, narratives, and computer data entry, and accurately processes physician orders
• Performs routine maintenance on EEG equipment
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff at an Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
