American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position in Lima, OH, requiring ventilator/trach experience and active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Assigned to a chronic care unit
• Patient population includes complex, medically-involved cases requiring telemetry monitoring, ventilator/trach management, and central line care
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 11-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required (RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or relevant clinical experience required
• Hands-on ventilator and trach management experience required
• Knowledge of central line care required
• Wound care experience preferred
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Utilizes the Nursing Process to provide shift-level accountability for patient care in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates and supervises assigned personnel in alignment with their education and experience
• Maintains clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Candidates must disclose any previous employment (permanent or contract) at a Kindred Hospital facility
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
