American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience and at least 5 years of OR experience for a hospital surgical unit position in Arlington, TX.

Details

• Located in a hospital surgical department with 10 ORs and 2 endoscopy suites
• 1:1 patient ratio in the OR setting
• All surgical procedures are performed except transplants
• Neuro, ERCP, vascular, and advanced procedures are also performed on the unit
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call requirements and holiday coverage expected
• No floating to other units
• EMR system is Meditech; experience is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of CST/OR experience required
• Recent experience within the last 6 months in the surgical technologist role is required
• NBSTSA CST certification required; state license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the AHA or ARC required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Meditech EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Neuro/ERCP and vascular/advanced procedure experience is preferred
• Team includes Charge RN, RNs, CSTs, anesthesia techs, orderly, and equipment techs on day shift
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates will be considered
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• A flexible, team-oriented personality is the best fit for this unit
