American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with 3-4 years of experience and Varian TrueBeam proficiency for a fast-paced hospital Radiation Therapy department in Charlotte, NC.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Therapy department with 337 licensed beds, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center designation
• Treats all types of cancer across both heavy inpatient and outpatient populations
• Department sees 70+ patients per day across 2 Varian TrueBeam treatment machines (35-40 patients per machine)
• 3 therapists assigned per machine, with 6-7 RTs working per shift
• Travelers are not expected to routinely work in CT Sim
• Uses Epic/Aria as the EMR system
• Uses Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators
• 8-hour day shifts with hours varying between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation or holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• May float to sister facilities up to approximately 1 hour away

Requirements

• Active Radiation Therapist license (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS and ARRT-T certifications
• 3-4 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators required
• Comfort working with an inpatient population required
• Experience with Aria encounters strongly preferred
• Candidate's permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
