American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 4 years of OR experience, including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics, for a hospital OR position in Atlanta, GA.

Details

• Hospital OR setting serving a wide range of surgical service lines including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (10:30–23:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
• Floating within the facility and to outpatient settings as needed, within scope of practice
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience required — this is a hard stop requirement
• Required OR experience must include Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics — these are hard stop requirements
• BLS certification required
• GA or Compact RN license required if applicable — must be active and in hand at time of consideration
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above; Charge Nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates must have been away from all system facilities for a minimum of 1 full year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is expected: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work at least two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (each pair counts as one holiday)
• No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates undergo a clinical review process to assess fit prior to manager consideration
• Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty
